PHOTO ESSAY:
ADVENTURE
OF THE SEAS
IN ST. MAARTEN
Cruise ship Photo essay - Royal Caribbean - Adventure of the Seas - In St. Maarten
Royal Caribbean's cruise ship Adventure of the Seas is not
an uncommon sight in St. Maarten. This isn't surpirsing
considering that from her base in San Juan, St. Maarten is
just around the corner.
St. Maarten has two cruise ship
piers. The older pier is capable
of handing multiple cruise ships.
The new one handles fewer ships
but they tend to be the largest
ships in port. After all, it was
built to handle Oasis of the Seas.
Above and left: Adventure shares
the new pier with Norwegian
Epic.
Adventure was the thrid ship
built in the Voyager class. As
shown in the photo below, her
balconies are flush with the side
of the superstructure. This
construction distinguishes her
from her younger sister
Navigator of the Seas and
Mariner of the Seas, on which
the balconies project out beyond
the sides of the superstructure.
As darkness falls over
the island, Adventure
puts out to sea.
On another day, Adventure is berthed at the older pier.
