large hot tubs and its own bar. Sun loungers
not only surround the pool, some are located
in a shallow pool.

signature feature, the Rock Climbing Wall.
However, Unlike other RCI ships, the rock wall
runs fore and aft along the starboard side of the
ship. It is also a different color.
Sharing the outdoor pool

adult and child sizes.
Aft of the Indoor Pool area is the Outdoor Pool.
This area is more like the traditional cruise ship
pool area. However, unlike most other ships, the
giant LED video screen overlooking the pool is
located on the port side rather than the aft end of
the pool area. As with the Indoor Pool area, this
area has its own bar and has two hot tubs. Some of
the loungers are also in the water but this time in
the main pool itself.
Another adventure feature debuting on Quantum is the Rip
Cord by IFLY. This feature simulates free-fall sky diving.
A powerful stream of air shooting upward breaks the bonds
of gravity. Guests are given a training course before
entering the simulator.

Quantum can be said to have three pool areas. Most
of these are enclosed so that the ship's pool areas can
be used in all types of weather.
All the way forward is the adults-only Solarium.
Reminiscent of the solarium on Royal's Oasis class
ships (see, e.g. Allure of the Seas), this area is
sheltered by a soaring glass canopy. Since the area
is high on the ship, its windows provide panoramic
views over the bow and the sides of the ship.
Its pool is not traditional but rather cascades through
several levels like a tropical stream. The Solarium
also has four large hot tubs, which look out over the
The Solarium has a bar and nearby is the Devinly
Decadence specialty restaurant.
Overlooking the Outdoor Pool area is Quantum's
signature feature, the North Star. (See separate
feature). Attached to a crane-like arm is a
glass-enclosed capsule that can take guests some
300 feet above the sea. Diving from the North
Star into the Outdoor Pool is not permitted.
More traditional sports facilities include a
jogging track and shuffleboard courts.
