POOLS, SPORTS AND
There are three pool areas on
Liberty, all on Deck 11.
The furtherest forward of these is the
Solarium. This area is limited to
guests 18 and older. It is designed to
be a serene fantasy land with its own
bar, premium furniture.
Walking aft, one comes to the Main Pool Area. It has two pools,
the Main Pool and the Sports Pool, which lie next to each other.
The Sports Pool is designed for water sports such as water
volleyball and water golf. When it is not being used for
activities, it can be used for swimming laps.
Also included in this area are a bandstand and three whirlpools
An addition made during the 2011 refit is the large outdoor movie
screen (below). Guests can watch movies and other programming
from their deck chairs, the whirlpools or even the pools.
Going further aft on Deck 11, one comes to the H2O Zone. Geared toward children, it features water spray cannons,
umbrella jets, ground gushers, waterfalls and brightly colored sculptures.
The open deck spaces on Decks 12 and 13 have a number of
sports facilities including: the Rock Climbing Wall (left);
the Jogging Track; the Sports Court (below left), which is a
full-sized basketball court; Liberty Dunes, a nine hole
Mini-golf course (below) as well as a golf simulator (not
Also on Deck 13 is the Flow Rider surfing simulator, a
feature that debuted on the Freedom class (above left).
For more conventional exercise, there is ping pong (left) and
shuffleboard (above) on the Promenade. Strollers can
circumnavigate the ship, weather permitting, by following the

On either side of the Solarium area are two large
whirlpools, which extend out from the ship.
