Grand Princess has three main
dining rooms, each of which is named
after an Italian Renaissance artist
and all of which are very similar in
decor.

For dinner, one of the dining rooms
(the
Botticelli) maintains the
traditional shipboard approach to
dining with assigned tables and an
assigned dining time.  The chief
virtue of this approach is that it lets
the passenger develop a re pore with
his or her table mates and with the
waiters.

The other two dining rooms are
"anytime dining."  (the
Da Vinci
and the
Michelangelo). Passengers
electing this option can come to
dinner when they want and dine
where they want.  (This is subject to
the caveats that there is space when
the passenger arrives and the desired
table is open).

Only one of the main dining rooms
(the Da Vinci)  is open for breakfast
and lunch (sea days only) and that is
on an open-seating basis.

The menus and the food in all three of
the main dining rooms are the same.
(see menus
example 1, example 2,
example 3)

Right from top to bottom: The
Botticelli Dining Room (traditional,
508 seats); the Da Vinci Dining
Room (anytime 486 seats); and the
Michelangelo Dining Room (anytime,
486 seats),

The Horizon Court is the ship's
buffet dining venue.  This 620-seat
facility is pleasantly decorated and
offers excellent views from the
seating area.

For something to eat poolside or while on the open
decks, there is
Prego (fresh pizza) (above), the
Trident Grill (hamburgers and hot dogs) (left),
and
Sundaes (soft ice cream) (below).

Across the Piazza is another venue that
first appeared after the 2011 refit - -
Alfredo's Pizzeria. (see menu). Guests
can sit at the counter and watch the chefs
prepare their individual-size, gourmet
pizzas or relax at a table by one of the
large picture windows.
A casual dining venue that is supplanting the
traditional buffet in many respects is the
International Café.  This venue came to Grand
Princess during the 2011 refit and offers a variety of
light fare throughout the day from croissants in the
morning, sandwiches at lunch, and pastries later in
the day.  The Café also offers specialty coffees and
teas.
Grand Princess has two extra-tariff specialty
restaurants.  The senior of these is the upscale
Italian fine dining venue
Sabatini's (above and
left).

The
Crown Grill, which came to Grand
Princess in 2011, is the ship's steakhouse.  Not
merely a replacement for the ship's prior
steakhouse, the Painted Dessert, this venue has
a more sophisticated New York steakhouse feel
as well as an expanded menu.  (
