Norwegian Sun features Norwegian's
signature Freestyle dining. There are no
assigned tables or dining times. Indeed,
there are no assigned dining rooms.
Where and when to eat is up to the
individual passenger. Guests can choose
to eat in one of the complimentary dining
venues or pay a nominal fee for one of the
The Sun has two main dining rooms. Both are about
the same size and use the same menus. Both are
Crossings Main Dining Room, located midship
on Deck 5, is open for dinner.
The Seven Seas Main Dining Room is located at the stern on Deck 5.
It is open for breakfast, lunch (sea days) and dinner. It is considered the
more formal of the two dining rooms and thus does not allow shorts to be
worn during dinner. Like the Four Seasons, this restaurant is
Le Bistro is Norwegian's most elegant specialty restaurant and on Norwegian Sun this French-style venue, decorated in Second
Empire style, also offers panoramic views.
Another venue with sophisticated style is Il Adagio (below). However, this venue features a more casual Italian-inspired menu.
Both these restaurants have cover charges.
A somewhat more informal venue is Las Ramblas. It offers a variety of hot and cold tappas. There is no cover charge for this
Similar to La Cumina on NCL's Jewel
class ships, iL Adagio specializes in
Italian comfort food. At lunch time, it
features pizza and pasta.
The Garden Café is a self-service buffet with a
variety of stations including omelets, pasta, roasts,
hamburgers, ice cream and desserts.
As the name implies, The Great Outdoors is an
outdoor buffet overlooking the stern of the ship. The
serving area is sheltered from the sun and wind but there
are tables that are in the open-air.

The Moderno Churrascaria is a Brazilian steakhouse where the servers come
around to the tables with skewers of different types and cuts of meat and carve off as
much of each as you like. Moderno also opens for a "deluxe continental breakfast."
The Sun also has a North American style steakhouse called the East Meets West
Steakhouse (below). Both of these venues have cover charges for dinner.
An Asian-inspired menu is features at the Ginza
(above). There is also a Sushi Bar (above right) and
