Mercury's main dining room is the
two-level Manhattan Restaurant.
One side of the menu varies each
night while the other has a constant
set of appetizers, entrees and desserts.
As of this writing, Mercury follows the
traditional two-seating dining system
for dinner. During sea days, the
restaurant is open seating for
breakfast and lunch. During port
days, the restaurant is closed for
The atmosphere in the Manhattan is
elegant and friendly with the staff
concentrating on service. Keeping with
cruise ship tradition, however, there is
one evening each voyage when the staff
has a Baked Alaska parade during which
the waiters carry the meringue-coated ice
creams around the room to the strains of
march music. This is followed by a
farewell song in which the chefs,
sommeliers and waiters sing Auld Lang
The Palm Springs Café/ Casual
Dining Boulevard on Deck 11
between the two pool areas is the ship'
buffet restaurant. Various sections of it
are open for breakfast through dinner.
In the evening, table clothes are spread
on some tables and this restaurant
becomes a casual alternative to the
main dining room.
THE MAIN DINING ROOM
Each day guests can stop by the
Cova Café for a breakfast
coissant or muffin. Later in the
day, the Cova has cookiies and

where dishes are prepared ala
minute; a lunch that is served by
the senior officers of the ship by
the Palm Springs Pool; a chocolate
desserts extravaganza in the
Pavilion Lounge; a deck party
buffet by the La Playa pool; and a
special afternoon tea for guests in
the upper levels of Celebrity's
Captain's Club program.

The La Playa Café serves the La Playa
pool area with hamburgers, hot dogs, salads
and other light poolside fare.
Located beside the Palm Springs Pool is the Palm Springs
Pizza and Pasta. Guests can bring their food to tables
under the magradome or outside on the adjoining open deck.
