The Solarium is the forward-most pool
area on Eclipse. The area is enclosed
within glass walls and has a glass roof
that is covered by solar panels. Thus,
guests have most of the benefits of being
outdoors but do not have to be concerned
about the temperature. In addition, this
adults-only area has the feel of a luxury
spa with thickly padded deck furniture, a
fountain, living plants and art work. It
houses the large Aquapool, two
whirlpools, and the Aquaspa Cafe.
Just aft of the Solarium is the
main Pool Area. It includes two
pools as well as a "wet zone" and
four whirlpools. Although the
area is outside, there are also
deck chairs and hammocks that
are sheltered from the sun. The
area is also served by its own bar.
The Lawn Club features just over half an acre of real grass. This restful area is used for boles, golf putting
and other lawn games. The area also includes a shop, bar and comfortable chairs in which to watch the athletic
contests or sip ones drink. In an open-air demonstration theater just off of the lawn, experts from the Corning
Museum of Glass show how glass-blowing is done.
Eclipse also has open deck space for relaxing in the sun including the serene Solstice Deck (above left)
