As the name implies, the heart of Pool Deck is the swimming pool area. In this area, there are two
substantial size pools and several whirlpools.
Immediately forward of the main pool area is
the Solarium, a quieter, adults-only venue
with its own swimming pool, whirlpools, bar
and space to relax. The decoration of this
area was inspired by Venice and includes
life size gondoliers who watch over the area
Immediately behind the Viking Crown Lounge is the sports area. This includes a large basketball/volleyball court (upper
left); Royal Caribbean's trademark rock climbing wall (below left); miniature golf (below) ping pong tables; and an inline
skating track (lower right). There is also a computerized golf simulator.
At the ship's bow there is a raised platform with
benches which is open to passengers in good
weather. It also serves as a helicopter hovering
pad for emergency medical evacuations. The
helicopter platform can be accessed from
Adventure's wraparound outdoor promenade.
